Charlotte City Budget Adopted

The Charlotte City Council has adopted the city’s Fiscal Year 2023 budget, with total spending planned at $3.2 billion. The budget notably does not raise taxes and makes investments in several key areas. Included in the budget is a proposed $226M bond package that includes $50 million for affordable housing and over $140 million on infrastructure projects such as sidewalk improvements, street resurfacing, and bicycle facility improvements.

Voters will have to approve the package via a November 2022 bond referendum. To view more details of the adopted budget, click here.
